Thursday, December 20, 2007   —  New Album Release/Reading Eagle Article

Well, it's here - Kris Kehr and Stone Poets - Notes From The Crossroads has arrived and is available right now through our website by clicking HERE. Of course it will be available at all the shows from here on out.

It is a 15-song, hour-long studio recording done over the course of the last 5 or 6 years, recorded in a few different studios including our own here at Woobie Cat Kitchens and
Amoeba Sound in New Jerusalem, PA with Bruce Seikmann engineering and offering up valuable ears, and finely mixed by Jack Hand. Mastering was done by Frank Green in Nashville, TN and I can't thank all these guys enough. Their positive spirit and mastery of skills made the record so much more than it could have been and I thank them all dearly.

As well as the guys in the band -
Rev. James Harton on organ, piano and accordion, Dr. Dave Mudgett on electric guitar and pedal-steel, John 'JK' Kennedy on upright and electric bass, and Matt Cullen on drums and percussion. A big thank you to my wonderful bride-to-be Julie Edlow, layering some exquisite harmony vocals throughout and really make it much bigger and sweeter than it was...YOU are the best...

Also on the album are former Poets
Jack Wilkinson on drums, bassist Bill Stetz and lap-steeler Todd Bartolo (Frog Holler) I dearly thank all these guys for their wonderful talents.

There is a wonderful article about my craft and the album in today's issue of the
Reading Eagle in their weekender edition...it's also online HERE ...a big thanks to those guys, especially Jim Speece.

There is also a review to read from the Centre Daily Times in State College HERE

So this coming
Friday, December 21 we will host a record release party at the Brass Lantern in Reading, PA at 10PM with the whole band. Big party, bring your hat.

Also coming up is another record release party at Zeno's on
Thursday, December 27th at 10PM in State College, PA.

Notes From The Crossroads will soon be available on CD Baby for download as well, so stay tuned...and see you soon!
