Friday, OCT 27th - STONERSVILLE HOTEL/Birdsboro, PA - 9:30PM
Julie & I will start around 9 or so...not sure if there's any costume prizes, but i can promise you no cover, good food and a good time....costumes will, of course, provide endless entertainment for the band, so keep that in mind...
Saturday, OCT 28th - THE BRASS LANTERN/Reading, PA - 10:30PM
STONE POETS will play it's first full-length live show in this neck of the woods...another costume party (see last show posting...) and there's a good chance the band will look funny, whether that's intentional or not...if you havn't heard yet, there are four live STONE POETS tracks up on the MYSPACE page HERE...
Sunday, OCT 29th - STANHOPE HOUSE/Stanhope, NJ - 7:15PM
Julie & I will be doing an app. hour-long set of Julie's music as part of the 2nd annual fundraiser for www.HOMEGROWNMUSICNJ.com which also includes performances by Shockenaw Mountain Boys and others...all proceeds keep the web station transmitting so come out and support this thing! Music starts at 4 on sunday...our set is 7:15, right before SMB...
-Thanks to our good friends the Durfs (with more Durfs happening all the time..) you can listen/download to a recording of Julie & my performance at The Wellsville Creative Arts Center from 10/14/06 HERE..

Wow, What a great time in Wellsville this past weekend...
Julie & I are proud to be the very first act at a brand new venue in upstate NY called The Wellsville Creative Arts Center. A HUGE thanks to Pete Schneider for getting us involved in the first place and taking such good care of us while we were there...
Things started off with meeting Pete at the venue, a converted storefront in the downtown that has the best sound and warmest environment, then a trip over to WALF-FM in near-by Alfred, NY.
We drove through a beautiful early snowstorm for an hour-long interview/performance live on air with host Ben Duffy. The show will be re-broadcast Sunday, October 22nd at 8PM if you missed it the first time.

After that we made our way back to the Arts Center for a full-house show at 8PM. Very warm crowd, great sound...a real gem of a venue...
You can now listen to or download a recording of the complete show on the "archives" HERE thanks to Durf! 
A big thanks to not only Pete and all the kind folks in the crowd but also to Andy & Tina, Marshall, Mike and all the others I don't know by name but who made the night shine. This venue has a great series planned through this year and next, so patronize this place and help it live & prosper whether you live near-by or not..it's worth the trip and we need more venues like it...

Saturday, October 07, 2006 — WELLSVILLE, NY & HALLOWEEN 2006
Big thanks to all who came out to see Julie Edlow's band (JEQ?) last night at the Brass Lantern...It was big fun playing mandolin and electric guitar with drummer Matt Cullen & Craig Burkey on the bass, not to mention the lovely Miss Edlow out in front singing (KILLING!) the whole show...her voice was hurting a bit afterward but it was obvious to me that girl needs/deserves a band of her own and what a great job she and everybody did...look for more of that...In the meantime, Julie & I will be doing a couple of acoustic performances in Wellsville, NY this coming Saturday, October 14th...
First up, at 2 PM we'll be on the air at WALF-FM performing and most likely answering a question or two.....I think we'll be in there about an hour...you can listen at home by streaming their signal from their WEBSITE...ma, use the MP3 option...
THEN, we'll be performing a whole show at the new WELLSVILLE CREATIVE ARTS CENTER located at 124 North Main Street/Wellsville, NY (585-593-3000) at 8 PM...
Julie & I are proud be the first performance for this new venue and we are happy to be working with these wonderful people, especially Pete! It's getting harder & harder to find likeable people who run venues (let alone reliable/trustable).. perhaps it's soon time to post the "Honor Roll" ala HST...and Pete will be on that list, as well as the guys from the Brass Lantern and the girls at the Stonersville Hotel...Ken at Blue Mountain Summit, not so much...look for the honor roll coming up...Joe A; don't worry, you're on there...
Halloween weekend is a busy one...
First, Friday, October 27th Julie & I will host a halloween party at The Stonersville Hotel in Birdsboro at 9:30 PM...no cover as usual..
The next night (28th) STONE POETS will host a halloween party at the Brass Lantern in Reading, PA..our first set will start around 10:30 PM ...click HERE to visit my 'myspace' page and hear a few tracks from our recent performance at Homegrown Radio's Wine & Music Festival...
And speaking of www.HOMEGROWNRADIONJ.com, Sunday, October 29th Julie & I will be doing a set of Julie's music at the second annual Concert For Homegrownradionj at The Stanhope House - 45 Main Street/Stanhope, NJ (973) 347-0458 - music goes all day and so far includes Red Molly, Buzz Universe, Denny Tilton & John Sontag as well as Julie & myself...I'll post more specific info when I get it...
ALSO, don't forget my weekly Homegrownradionj show "BLACK MOUNTAIN UNDERGROUND" every monday at noon...the show has evolved into a showcase for hot bootleg downloads that I obsessively collect, including a recent glut of live Byrds soundboard recordings culled from the Clarence White years (69-70) and an upcoming show dedicated to live Muddy Waters performances (11/6/06 airdate) AND a Christmas-time two-part tribute to Bob Dylan's new album "Modern Times" which will feature the album in it's entirety interspersed with lesser-known modern Dylan gems (movie soundtrack stuff/tribute appearences, etc...) On any other monday you can expect to hear Dylan gems from any of his eras, as well as his contemporaries, predecessors and those he's influenced...other stuff, too! But in case you still don't get it, watch THIS wonderful new video of "When The Deal Goes Down" from "Modern Times" featuring the luminecent Scarlett Johansson...good stuff...
