Wednesday, June 25, 2008 — Photos, YouTube Links  Hey everybody... Here's pictures of the jumbo-tron at Reading Phillies last week (thanks, Brenda!) We all had a great time last week, and I'm looking forward to returning with Julie later in the summer (check the schedule below for more details).  Here's a few photos of The Manatawny Creek Ramblers shot by my old pal Otto Bost. Stop by Otto's website, he's got a bunch of cool things to check out there and his services for hire, including his photography.      I DOWNLOADS- Our friend Jeff Saltzman has posted a few of his videos up on Youtube recently, including STONE POETS' performance of A CRUEL SETTING at Homegrown Radio NJ's studios broadcast live 5/10/08, AND Julie and I performing WAYFARING STRANGER with members of Railroad Earth and Roaming Gabriels at a private gig on 5/6/06. I just finished a new batch of new Black Mountain Underground radio shows to be broadcast every Monday at NOON on Homegrown Radio NJ. In the up coming weeks we'll be hearing shows dedicated to Bruce Cockburn, the Tony Rice Unit's performance at the Leesport Auction in 1990 (off my master soundboard tapes), Steve Earle & the Del McCoury Band live, John Gorka at Godfrey's (also off my master) and a comprehensive 4-part Gram Parsons tribute, as well as a bunch of 'mix' featuring live and studio stuff, including tracks from the new Emmylou Harris album 'All I Intended to Be' and Jakob Dylan's new 'Seeing Things', so tune in often. Hey Everybody! Since early spring I've been traveling the few miles to the infamous Moonlight Forest Studios outside Oley, PA. to get together with Daniel 'Scrappy' Bower (Frog Holler-vocals & guitar), Randy Krater (The Youngers-upright bass & vocals) and my old pal Michael Beaky (Pavlov's Dawgs-banjo & vocals) to play as The Manatawny Creek Ramblers. The Ramblers are already a popular band in the area but have been branching out a bit lately, mainly with me on mandolin & vocals and appearances by Ted 'the fiddler' Fenstermacher. I am proud to be NEW full-time member of this great group of friends playing almost purely traditional bluegrass, and we have two great shows coming up this month with a bunch more through the summer (and many being added daily at this point). We also plan to start recording an album at Moonlight Lodge, where Frog Holler is currently recording their new album. By the way, a great place to record.
